I think traveling is one of these words that its definition underestimates its meaning. In most sentences, we say we traveled, meaning that we stepped outside our ordinary routine and mobilized ourselves to spend a few days away from our duties and worries. However, the meaning that is employed to it can be different for everyone. For some it is just a holiday time, to some it is for business trip, to a few it is a life changing journey. Some of us expect everything to go well with our plans, some fellows, like myself go ahead with a semi-plan and leave a few things in the air.

I think travels become quite interesting when we don't plan them around packages and pick them as we pick a package of macaroni from a shelf in a supermarket but actually owning it by planning it around what drives us curious about the place that we are going to visit. Perhaps, it is that curiosity that lifted Middle Ages Mathematician Fibonacci from Italy and placed him on a journey through Middle East or perhaps it is the desire to explore what can't be planned and seen without riding through the lands of South America as Ernesto Guevara did. Yes, the world is a wild place one must study the location thoroughly but I think it is okay that we sometimes set out while leaving a few things to calculated chances and therefore employ an intimate meaning to the word "travel".
